Charlotte, VT — After Action, a Vermont-based non-profit dedicated to supporting Veterans and trauma survivors, is proud to announce the launch of its Inaugural Raffle for Recovery. This months-long fundraising initiative will culminate on Veterans Day 2026, with all proceeds directly funding recovery programs for those navigating the aftermath of military service and trauma.
A Piece of Art, Donated
The centerpiece of the raffle is a one-of-a-kind, handmade electric guitar crafted by renowned local luthier Eric Jones of MadJones Guitars. Showcasing Vermont’s natural beauty, the instrument is built from locally harvested Birds Eye Maple, offering a unique aesthetic you’ll cherish for generations!
Community Partnership: Higher Ground
In an exciting first for the organization, After Action will host its inaugural tabling event at Higher Ground, South Burlington’s premier music venue. Higher Ground has long been committed to improving the standard of living for all Vermonters, making them the ideal partner to kick off this campaign.
Exclusive "Early Bird" Kickoff This Friday
The raffle officially hits the road this Friday, February 13th, at Higher Ground during the Dobbs' Dead and All Night Boogie Band performance. For this night only, After Action is offering a special "Early Bird" ticket tier to local music fans:
Friday Special: $10 per ticket | 10 tickets for $75
Payment Methods: Cash and Credit Cards accepted on-site.
Catch Us Across Vermont, and the Nation!
Following the kickoff, After Action will be taking the MadJones guitar on tour across the state to raise awareness and funds. Supporters can find us at various in-person events throughout the year, including a major presence at the Champlain Valley Fair, and Military Appreciation Night at the Vermont Lake Monsters, on July 29th.
"Music and community are powerful pillars of the recovery journey," says Sam Politi, Marketing Director. "By partnering with friends like Eric Jones and Higher Ground, we aren't just raising money—we're building a support network for our Veterans and survivors that is as resilient as the maple in this guitar!”
